Final Fantasy Cosplay

Lulu is a 22-year-old black mage and one of Yuna’s guardians. In battle, she doesn’t fight directly but sends dolls such as moogles, and other Final Fantasy creature types to attack for her. Lulu is often stern and scathing, however, she is nonetheless caring toward others. Lulu was particularly harsh towards Tidus when they first met, but her opinion of him slowly changed for the better as the story progressed. Lulu is also quite well endowed, but also possesses a keen intelligence to match. Character Designer, Tetsuya Nomura, has expressed that he wanted her character design that looked like the cross between a fashion model and Black Mage. This was achieved through – in Nomura’s words – Lulu’s “eccentric” hair and dress. He has also mentioned that as technology advances, the Final Fantasy games allow for a greater level of detail to be incorporated into characters’ outfits, and that he makes a point of challenging the game’s visual programmers with his designs. As a consequence, Lulu has a fairly elaborate costume with some very complicated details sown in. The upper portion of Lulu’s costume can be reasonably constructed with an faux fur collar, lace linings, sleek black fabric and a corset-like wrap around the waist. The bottom portion of her dress is where many cosplayers have trouble. The intricate overlap of belts may take a lot of experimenting to make it both authentic looking and functional. A small section of her thigh can also be seen underneath her dress, and it’s apparent she is wearing black thigh high stockings on her legs. LuLu’s necklaces and hair accessories can be easily made using materials from a crafts store. At the front, her hair is parted to conceal part of her left face and eye. It’s rolled into a bun behind her head and she has four thinly braided ponytails extending from it. If this sounds too complicated to do, consider buying a special wig. LuLu’s make-up is primarily dark purple in color, including her fingernails.
