Snow’s costume is probably one of the simplest ones to put together for a Final Fantasy character.  Due to the character’s size, Snow cosplay is best suited for tall cosplayers, though getting his attitude and personality right is also important. Major components of Snow’s costume are his trenchcoat, grey slack pants, vertically stripped shirt, a blue plaid scarf and work boots/hiking boots. Snow also wears a black bandanna, black leather gloves and has two belts slung across his waist. Note that the sleeves on his trenchcoat are purposely cut short about 2-3 inches.

Lightning is a former soldier of the Cocoon military, she abandoned her real name to protect her sister Serah but this only made them grow more distant. Lightning has distinctive spikey pink hair and is 177 cm tall (5′10″). For her design, character designer Tetsuya Nomura was asked to create a “female version of Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII”. During development, he described her as “not very feminine”. In battle, Lightning wields a weapon called a Blaze Edge that is a combination of a gun and a sword.

Lightning’s costume is simple in the sense it contains no elaborate designs and markings, but does contain many zippers, belts, pouches and other accessories that can make it time consuming to assemble. Main parts of Lightning’s cosplay outfit include a white sleeveless waist-length jacket, a tan leather/jean skirt, knee high leather boots and her sighnature red cape. Also note the shoulder pad and arm sleeve on her left arm, her fingerless gloves and the leather pouch strung across her left leg.
